Dirty Pint continues this interest in the sensory and social experience of environments where alcohol is consumed. The work draws on observations of atmosphere, gestures, conversations and visual fragments encountered within these spaces, translating them into an abstracted language of marks, colour and repetition. Rather than depicting a specific event, the painting attempts to communicate something of the accumulated feeling and sensory intensity of being within that environment.
