Ellis Thomas-Pam.
Ellis Thomas-Pam is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily across painting and drawing. His practice explores how lived experience, memory and sensory perception can be translated into visual forms. Drawing is used as a form of research and visual notation, recording observations, gestures, conversations and atmospheres rather than simply documenting what is seen.
His work is particularly interested in social environments and the ways that rhythm, repetition, gesture and human interaction shape our experience of place. These observations are reconstructed through layered mark-making, painting and abstracted forms, developing a visual language from the fragments and impressions gathered through direct experience
